The need for a soul for the modern man is as questionable as the need for a mind for the primitive man. Both are equally abstract. Evolution may have triggered the inception of a mind but the willful pursuit of the reason and logic has catalyzed the development. For those who question if evolution is complete, the next phase will be the acceptance of the virtue in piety and the joy in truth. In a sense, these are as fundamental as the logic in reason and the rationality in thought. Both logic and rationality would be impossible for the primitive man to accept. The notions of virtue and (spiritual) joy are far from wrong, but it needs the courage and conviction to accept their validity. The analogy is complete and role of virtue and solace in the spiritual realm is as basic as the need for logic and rationality in the intellectual realm. The four line verses follow the aaaa or aaba pattern, and the seven line verses follow the aaaaaaa pattern.
